Motley Crue, Def Leppard, Poison at T-Mobile Park – 8/31/2022

Another quick one here.

We originally got tix moths ago to see Ayron Jones and the Pretty Reckless play at the Moore Theater for only $10. Day of I was excited to go and Jake called me and let me know tix were going for Motley Crue and Def Leppard for only $10 on Stub Hub.

As much as I love Ayron Jones I’d seen him before and felt I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to see some killer 80’s band. We got the tix and I bussed downtown to meet up with them. We unfortunately missed Joan Jett who I would have absolutely loved to have seen. Poison was playing when I finally sat down.

Although Poison isn’t my favorite band by a long shot, and although it think they’re very cheesy, they put on an awesome show and sounded great. Guitar playing was phenominal and Brett’s stage presence was great as well. “Win big, mamma’s fallen angelllll” and “ain’t looking for nothing but a good time” were stuck in my head for days afterwards. Me Jake Paige and Scott went and It was fun seeing Paige up and dancing to the 80s songs.

Next up was Motley Crue and they seemed to play for hours. I was surprised at just how many songs I knew of there’s, a lot of them I didn’t know they sang. They weren’t as tight and Vince’s voice wasn’t as good as it used to be. That being said they’re definitely entertainers and knew how to put on a show. They had supermodels up on stage doing basically strip dances and at one point Tommy Lee asked girls in the audience to show their boobs. That was a first for me and kinda lived up to the Motley Crue vibes I was expecting.

After Motley Crue was Def Leppard. It was getting late on a Wednesday though and I only got to see 3 songs. I really wish I would have stayed because they absolutely killed it. They were by far the best sounding band of the night and the guitar playing was the best as well. I hope I can catch them again one day.

Overall it was a great last minute thing to do on a wednesday and something I’m sure I’ll remember forever. 80’s is fun!
